Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said all Muslims are responsible to defend an Islamic country offended by a non-Muslim state.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his remarks at 15^th conference of Islamic unity held in London, called on world Muslims to rise in defense of a Muslim country which is assaulted or offended by a non-Muslim country; hence, it is a mission upon all of us to defend Palestine as a shared objective among us, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric enumerated five axes based on which the Islamic countries should cooperate: security and stability, scientific, political, economic and Muslim world resources and also cooperation on common services in the world of Islam.
 
He added,” World arrogant powers are in constant struggle to dominate the oppressed nations and also guaranteeing their security across the globe in order to be safe against any foreign threat.”
 
Doctor Shahriari stressed,” Islam rejects domination of atheists on Muslims, in this line late Imam Khomeini (RA) rejected domination of the foreign states on Muslims.
 
He warned of division as a threat against Muslims since it paves the way for domination of the foreign countries providing the grounds for the arrogant powers to create division in the world of Islam.
 
The cleric noted that the diversity in the world of Islam has turned into a pretext for the enemies to deviate and attract some Muslims via propaganda, the very fact that has provided the grounds for domination of the foreigners on Muslim communities.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari added,” Security is a God-gifted blessing which will diminish as a result of hostility among Muslims but will turn into a factor for unity in the Islamic nation.
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred to religious division as a threat against security of Muslim world.
 
“Muslim leaders should beware of those who intend to dominate Islam under the pretext of religion and the enemies who divide Shia and Sunni communities” said the cleric and added,” These people have nothing to do with either Shia or Sunni rather they are thugs hired by arrogant and colonial powers who have targeted honor and sovereignty of Islamic countries.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari quoted the Supreme Leader addressing the foreign guests at a previous Islamic Unity Conference saying the western arrogant powers have been looting and misusing the regional resources for the past 200 years.
 
Top cleric reiterated that preparation of the Islamic countries against arrogant powers is dependent upon their solidarity and manifestation of their Islamic powers in the region and added,” Enemies cannot stand an end to their economic, political and cultural domination; therefore, they do whatever within their power to prevent materialization of the objective and also to bring schism among Muslims.
