The spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry said the recent UN General Assembly resolution on the human rights situation in Iran was politically motivated, biased, and unfair.
Khatibzadeh says ‌UN report on human rights situation in Iran is biased

"The Islamic Republic of Iran sent its detailed and reasoned views and arguments to each of the clauses and claims of the UN Secretary-General's report, but unfortunately they were significantly ignored," the Iranian diplomat added.

Khatibzadeh went on to say, "Unfortunately, the report published in the name of the Secretary-General of the United Nations is based on false claims, documents, and unreliable sources. For this reason, the main text of the report is mainly based on the allegations and accusations of dissident groups and terrorist sects."
"The detailed response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to this report will be made available to all countries in the Human Rights Council," he continued.
The spokesman stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on its religious beliefs and legal obligations, continues to consider itself obliged to promote human rights and is ready to cooperate and interact with UN human rights mechanisms."
"The report does not address the responsibility of the sanctioning countries and the executors of the sanctions and refuses to describe the negative, destructive, damaging, and deadly effects of these illegal, oppressive, unilateral, and criminal sanctions on the human rights of the Iranian people by the US regime and the White House's international responsibilities," Khatibzadeh concluded.
