Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in his remarks broadcasted later at the venue of the congress in Shahr-e Kord, capital of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, hailed the Iranian nomadic society over its resistance against plots to disintegrate the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Leader criticized those discouraging the people, undermining religious beliefs or dissuade people towards endeavors by officials as an effort in favor of the enemies.

Ayatollah Khamenei quoted the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (RA), describing the nomads as a resource for the country and called the congress an opportunity for further familiarization with the nomadic society saying,” Today the enemies depend upon soft warfare; hence, all walks of life in the country, including nomads are in need of cultural products.”

Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic referred to the resistance of the nomadic groups against two decades of hostile efforts by foreign agents and noted,” These endeavors aimed to persuade the nomads to betray and disintegrate the country as well as sparking civil war though the struggles all failed since the nomads are among the most faithful groups in Iran.”

The Leader highlighted sacrifices made by Iranian nomads during the imposed Iraq war as another manifestation of their devotion for the country and said,” Religion, was the key factor behind unity, advancement and sacrifice made by the people particularly the nomads, a factor which facilitated victory of the Islamic Revolution led  by late Imam Khomeini (RA) and also safeguarded the country against former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussein despite all supports he received from foreign countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei lauded the martyrs as beautiful and glorious manifestation of religious beliefs and reiterated the unique role of religious inspirations in struggles by the Iranian veterans as well as perseverance of the martyrs’families.

The Leader warned of eliminating or undermining the religious motivations as one of the key aspects behind soft warfare against the country and added,” The moves made against religion, traditions, sanctities and religious rituals are all derived from a political objective for the enemies no matter if the perpetrator behind that might be quite ignorant or unaware of the fact.”

Leader of the Islamic Revolution enumerated the components for soft warfare against Iranian nation and said,” To inject despondency about future, coming to dead end and discouragement on capabilities of officials to run the country are among what the enemies of Iran do and he who, intentionally or unintentionally, discourages the people from their future, undermines the religious beliefs in people or dissuades the people on endeavors of the officials is in fact benefiting the enemies.”

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to “hope” as the great lesson taught by martyrs and noted,” Our veteran forces began struggles in a frontline that normally would not be victorious but as a result of their optimism, the war ended with glory for the Islamic Republic of Iran and failure for aggressors and that means one should maintain heavenly assistance and perseverance in the hardest times.”

The remarks by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution were broadcasted at the National Congress of Nomadic Society held in Shahr-e Kord a few days after the meeting with executives of the event in the capital Tehran.
