Al-Azhar University has denounced sacrilegious remarks by Indian officials warning against the behavior as a manifestation of "terrorism" which could drag the entire world in fatal wars.

Egyptian prestigious university has issued a statement following the desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in a television debate condemning India's Bharatiya Janata Party's over sacrilegious remarks, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
BJP spokeswoman, Nupur Sharma, has expressed sacrilegious comments about Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in a recent television debate provoking Muslims in the country and other parts of the world.
 
Al-Azhar University in part of its statement slammed India's BJP over clear ignorance on the history and lifestyle of prophets "since they are in highest peaks of morality and virtue."
 
Major Islamic academy warned, "This behavior is the very instance of" terrorism" which can drown the world in fatal wars and called on the international community to resolutely stand against such measures.
 
Al-Azhar University noted," The recent act of sacrilege by two political authorities in India is a move for collecting more votes for the upcoming election and provoking supporters against Muslims"
 
It also called the remarks a clear invitation to extremism and hatred which promotes sectarianism warning that the measure is supported by those abhorring dialogue between religions, civilizations and cultures.
 
Following global condemnation of the sacrilegious remarks against Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has expelled Naveen Kumar Jindal and suspended Nupur Sharma over their desecrating remarks against the prophet of Islam.
