Huj. Shahriari counts ways to materialize unified Islamic nation

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in met with a group of Turkish elites and university professors highlighted importance of protecting Islamic unity and detailed his views on unified Islamic nation as well as Union of Islamic countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He counted preventing division, boosting cooperation, convergence of Islamic countries and also promotion of Islam as four phases for achieving unified Islamic nation.

The cleric said,” The fifth phase is to establish a union of Islamic countries” and highlighted rationality as the necessity towards that end.

He said,” In the first phase Muslims should prevent division, war, terror, Takfir (excommunication) and conflicts” and added,” The second phase however demands confrontation with common enemies and boosting friendship among Muslims.

The cleric stressed, ” An “enemy” does not necessarily mean a Jewish or Christian but anyone arming against Muslims and the Islamic nation.”

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought related on concept of jihad in Islam translating that to “a way of defense” A historical look reveals that the conflicts at the time of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) were mainly defensive rather than aggressive.”

He stressed that the unity of Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey will certainly make an Islamic superpower against world arrogant powers and added,” The preliminary step for convergence of Islamic countries is boosting political, scientific, security and financial power of the Islamic countries.

Senior Iranian cleric also explained objectives, values, policies and also structure of the union of Islamic countries and noted the objective is within reach.

“The biggest war in the world was World War II where according to data 70-80 million people have lost their lives but they have reached European Union” said the Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari and added,” When Muslims share the same holy book, one Qibla (praying direction) and one prophet then why should not they reach a union of Islamic countries?

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought proposed formation of a parliament of Islamic countries to pass common legislative.

He noted that followers of different religions and denominations can peacefully live together referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran as an instance of the coexistence between different Islamic and non-Islamic denominations.

“Our main enemy is the world arrogant power which is rooted in imperialism” he said and warned of efforts to spark war among Muslims in a bid to distract attentions from the real enemy.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari slammed Israeli regime as the corrupt state and added,” War among Islamic countries will continue as far as we do not confront its origins, world arrogant powers.”

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the comments in a meeting with Turkish thinkers and university professors in the capital Tehran on Thursday.
