World Health Assembly to contemplate Iran's successful experience in addressing COVID-19

The Special Assistant and Director-General of Iran's Health Ministry for International Cooperation Department Mohammad Hossein Niknam announced that at the meeting of the World Health Assembly, issues of health priority in the world, including Iran's successful experience in COVID-19 control and vaccination will be discussed.

The Ministry of Health also announced: "By Saturday, 64, 479, 119 people received the first dose, 57, 770, 615 people the second dose and 27, 411, 771 people the third dose of Corona vaccine. The total number of vaccines injected in Iran reached 149, 661, 505 doses."
 
"This summit is a good opportunity to exchange views on health achievements, and Iran, as an independent country, is present at the summit," Niknam said.
 
Niknam has added that the World Health Assembly is held every year in Geneva, Switzerland to review the health priorities of member countries.
The Director General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Health also said: "Health experiences and achievements in the field of health will be discussed in the World Health Assembly, and the achievement of Iran as a country that has reduced the number of corona casualties from 700 to single digits per day, will be in the center of attention at this meeting."
