The heavily-armed soldiers rounded up three others, including two brothers, and ransacked their houses in al-Midya village, west of the city, turning them upside down.
In Jerusalem, police detained another from the vicinity of the Council Gate, known in Arabic as Bab al-Majlis.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces barged their way into Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, and rounded up another.
In the southern West Bank, gun-toting soldiers showed up at a house in al-Shalala Street in downtown Hebron, muscled inside, assaulted the family members and eventually detained the owner.
They also arrested another from the southern part of the city, forcibly entered his parents’ house and thoroughly searched it.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
