Iran says agreement in reach if US return to JCPOA commitment

Iran's Foreign Minister has said that a good deal is available to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) if the US will come back to its commitments to the international agreement.
Iran says agreement in reach if US return to JCPOA commitment
The eighth round of sanctions talks began in Vienna on December 27 and is ongoing in Vienna, after a short break, but without the US.
The United States' non-compliance with its obligations under the nuclear deal has led to a stalemate in the progress of the nuclear negotiations.

The withdrawal of the United States from the 2015 agreement during the Trump administration and the violation of Washington's commitments have caused Iran to react to this US action.
In a tweet on Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote: "Following my contacts w/ @JosepBorrellF, Mr. Mora's visit & his talks w/ Mr. Bagheri were another opportunity to focus on initiatives to resolve the remaining issues."
Meanwhile, assessing Enrique Moran's meetings in Iran, EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell said before the G7 meeting:
"As I said, I assessed his meetings in Iran very much positively. The negotiations had been stalled for two months due to this disagreement about what to do the Revolutionary Guards. Mr Mora visited Iran with a concrete message from my side, saying that we could not continue like this. The answer has been positive enough in order to believe that we can relaunch the work between the parties."
Given that the US scrapped the JCPOA in 2018, the Islamic Republic of Iran stresses that it is Washington that must return to the international agreement through lifting sanctions it has imposed on the Iranian nation.
Iran says it is not insisting on the US return to the JCPOA.
