Iran-Saudi dialogue forward-looking, MFA spokesman says

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has said that Thursday's talks in Baghdad between Iran and Saudi Arabia have been serious, positive and forward-looking.
He talked about the Zionist regime's crimes escalation in occupied Palestine and the actions of the Iranian Foreign Ministry in this regard and said: "The Zionist regime is trying to depict the Palestine issue as a secondary issue. The public opinion of the Islamic world, despite the conspiracies of the Zionist apartheid regime, still considers the issue of Palestine as its first issue."
Regarding the fifth round of Iran-Saudi talks, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated: "The Iran-Saudi Arabia talks in Baghdad were held last Thursday with the efforts of the Iraqi government and the preparations and assistance of the Omani government, and the talks were positive and forward-looking. The frameworks that were envisaged from the beginning were examined and the talks were serious, and if it escalates to the political level, we will see progress in the framework of the negotiations."

Vienna talks and telephone calls between FM and Borrell
Negotiations on what concerns Iran and the P4+1 are over, and what remains between Iran and the United States is moving in a different direction, the official noted.

Afghan diplomatic delegation visits embassy in Tehran

Khatibzadeh stated, "The shuttle diplomacy between a country and the embassies is a normal thing that takes place three, four, or five years based on the countries' decisions and is not new. It has nothing to do with recognizing a political system and other issues. The Embassy of Afghanistan has several thousand clients, and many staff is needed. We must help the embassy not be closed after the end of the mission of their staff."
In response to a question about Helmand water rights, he said: "Water rights are the contract between Iran and Afghanistan that has existed for many years, and Iran is trying to resolve disputes with the judgment by consent, and water commissioners have met and some measures has been taken by the rulers in Afghanistan, which is not enough."

We discussed bilateral and regional issues with the Saudi delegation, and God willing, the Hajj will be held and the talks indicate that maybe 40,000 people will be sent to Hajj rituals, and other issues are on the agenda.

Insulting the Holy Quran

The actions observed in some Scandinavian countries were disgusting, and the foreign ministry has been following up on the matter. The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other agancies have declared their exoneration, but we do not want the sanctities of Muslims to be insulted in the name of freedom.
Palestinian Occupied Territories
We are witnessing the formation of a camp of insiders and outsiders, not only on these issues but also on critical international issues.
We should not let others set our priorities. Our priority in the Islamic world is Palestine and the end of the occupation. Just as the apartheid regime in South Africa met a fate that forced it to distance itself from that ideology, the Zionist apartheid regime must hold a referendum with the participation of the primary inhabitants of Palestine, and that will be done soon.

Explosions in Afghanistan

The situation in Afghanistan and all ethnic and religious groups has been very important to Iran since the beginning. We do not have a minority in Afghanistan; we have tribes that today and tomorrow belong to them. Afghanistan's rulers are responsible for ensuring the security of all ethnic groups in the country, but they have not yet been able to establish security in some areas.
Is Iran moving from 60% to 90% uranium enrichment?
Iran is a member of the NPT and has accepted the non-proliferation treaty and enforced safeguards regulations. The transfer of centrifuges from Karaj to Natanz has been notified to the Agency, and according to the IAEA statute, we are allowed to take any action with that notification.
