Had a productive conversation w @JosepBorrellF today.

Efforts to reach a good & durable agreement continue; it is within reach if US acts realistically & consistently.

No single party can determine end result; a joint endeavor is needed. Reason should prevail.

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that the outcome of the Vienna talks will be determined by a collective agreement and not a unilateral approach, adding that a joint effort is needed.

In the end, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran pointed out that it is logic and rationality that must prevail.

The eighth round of talks in Vienna, focusing on the lifting of oppressive and illegal sanctions against Iran, resumed on Tuesday, February 8, after an 11-day break, to negotiate with their capitals in the presence of Iranian and P4+1 delegations (Germany, France, Britain, Russia and China) in the Austrian capital and has been held at various levels and formats ever since.

The talks in Vienna have seen some progress due to the initiatives of the Iranian negotiating team, but the reluctance of Western parties, especially Joe Biden's administration, to compensate for the former US administration's illegal actions and continue the campaign of maximum pressure, has cast doubt on its seriousness. The outcome of the talks has been prolonged.
