Iran-Russia ties prevent unilateralism in region, Pres. Raisi says

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that Iran-Russia interaction provides security and prevents unilateralism in the region.

The President has noted that the dialogue between the two powerful and influential countries could significantly impact the region's security, economic, and trade relations.
 
"We have common interests with Russia, and this interaction provides security and counteracts unilateralism in the region," Raisi pointed.
 
He said earlier ties with Russia were not desirable, so both sides intend to expand bilateral relations.
 
Raisi added that Tehran and Moscow also intend to expand ties in energy and aerospace, among other fields.
 
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, traveled to Moscow on Wednesday at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin accompanied by a high-profile delegation consisting vice presidents and ministers including Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oil minister Javad Owji, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ehsan Khandouzi, Minister for Communications, Information, and Technology Issa Zarepour and Youssef Nouri, Education Minister.
 
Also, Mohsen Rezaei, Vice- President for Economic Affairs, Mohammad Hosseini, Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs, Mohammad Mokhber, First Vice President, and Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili, Chief of the Presidential Staff, are accompanying President Raisi in his trip to Russia.
