Signing of 20-year document is not on agenda of Iranian president's visit to Russia

A spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has announced that the signing of a 20-year strategic document between Iran and Russia during president Raisi's upcoming visit to Moscow is not on the agenda.

Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, told Fars News Agency that a 20-year strategic document between Iran and Russia was not on the agenda during the president's upcoming visit to Moscow.
 
The MP noted: "This document has not yet reached the final stage for signing by the two presidents due to further studies and preliminary agreements. Therefore, the 20-year document between Iran and Russia is still in its infancy and the president will not raise it in his visit to Russia.
 
The speaker of the National Security commission of the parliament went on to say that during the president's visit to Moscow, the preparations for this document would be discussed and its preparations will be agreed upon.
 
Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will pay a visit to Russia later this week and is scheduled to meet with the Russian President.
