Iran's cultural attaché in Pakistan called on Muslim scholars to highlight the commonalities among Islamic denominations stressing that their capability to foil hostile plots.

Ehsan Khazaee, Iran's cultural attaché in Islamabad met with Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the delegation of Iranian Shia and Sunni clerics stressing that to serve Islam, minor disagreements between the denominations should be settled, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," If a society intends to serve Islam, it should first settle the minor disagreements" stressing   that all efforts should focus on boosting Islam.
 
Iranian diplomat referred to the role of late Imam Khomeini (RA) in line with building and boosting Islamic unity stressing unity as synchronization among Muslims.
 
Ehsan Khazaee added," To highlight commonalities can prevent the intrigues hatched by enemies of Islam; therefore, all religious scholars and Muslim elites should highlight the issue and foil the anti-Islam plots."
 
He also hailed the special esteem maintained by Pakistani people for late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought due to the endeavors of the late cleric and his intimate ties with scholars in Pakistan.
 
Iranian diplomat in Islamabad stressed the cultural potentialities in Pakistan and counted Persian language, Iranology and Islamic proximity as the key axes for activities of the cultural attaché in Pakistan.
 
He noted the rejection of Israeli regime as another commonality between Iran and Pakistan and reiterated endeavors for materialization of solidarity in line with achieving unified Islamic nation.
 
Ehsan Khazaee met with Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari in part of the trip by the top cleric and delegation of Shia and Sunni scholars to Pakistan.
