Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has arrived in Islamabad early on Sunday to meet with Pakistani religious leaders and elites.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, leading a delegation of Iranian Shia and Sunni figures, has arrived the capital Pakistan to attend the international conference on Islamic unity and also meet with prominent religious figures in the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The delegation led by Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari was welcomed by Seyyed Mohammad Ali Husseini, Iranian ambassador to Pakistan and Ehsan Khazaee, cultural attaché.
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will attend an Islamic unity conference during his week-long trip to Pakistan.
 
Top cleric has also scheduled to meet with a number of religious figures and senior scholars from different Islamic denominations.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari will also attend proximity meetings and discuss Muslim world issues with religious leaders in Lahore and Karachi.
 
An Islamic unity conference will be held by Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, the Mutthida majlis-e-amal Pakistan (chairman of solidarity council of Pakistan) and Liaqat Baloch, deputy of the council.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and top Iranian Sunni scholar, Molawi Nazir Ahmad Salami and a number of prominent Pakistani elites will participate the conference on Monday.
 
To exchange views on the current issues in the world of Islam, expansion of relations with religious figures and discuss the ways to confront foreign threats against Islamic nations are the objectives for the trip by Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
