Kurdistan province, manifestation of Shia, Sunni unity in post-Revolution era
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought related on means to materialization of unified Islamic nation and hailed Kurdistan region as manifest of solidarity between Shia and Sunni following the Islamic Revolution.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari warned of division as a constant plot on the agenda of the enemies who develop detailed plans to materialize their heinous objective, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He slammed the different plots targeting solidarity of the ethnicities, denominations and tribes naming Kurdistan province as one of the targets for enemies.
On the third day of his trip to Kurdistan province, Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari hailed Iran's Sunni-inhibited province, as the land of coexistence among all denominations and ethnical groups and lauded the brave Kurdish group for their loyalty and support for the Islamic Revolution since the victory of the popular uprising.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called Kurds as an elite and knowledgeable group who have bravely defended the country and that is the exact culture taught in holy Qur'an.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said Kurdistan is a manifestation of unity between Shia and Sunni after the Islamic Revolution and said," Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution as a cultural province meaning that the lifestyle in this province is Muhammadan-Iranian-Islamic.
Senior cleric referred to the peaceful life of different religions and denominations in Iran which sparked concern in the US and UK after the Islamic revolution because they thought that the resistance of Iranian nation would expand to all denominations; therefore, it began to divide the different religions and denominations.
He referred to the decrees issued by the Supreme Leader appointing individuals from minority Kurds in high level military and administrative positions in the country and said," This proves the positive view and confidence of the Supreme Leader in the Sunni community and also the capability of Kurds for higher positions."
He concluded," New Islamic civilization does not realize without cooperation of Shias and Sunnis and if we intend to expand the notion of new Islamic civilization then we should not follow discriminate views on different denominations."
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought expressed his views in an interview televised on local news channel in Kurdistan province on Friday.
