Secretary General of Inter Islamic Network for Virtual Universities said to introduce Islamic countries and their potentialities would bring them closer together and distance them from western countries.

Karim Najafi Barzegar, delivering speech at the webinar for the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference held on October 19-24 said once the Islamic countries are closer they can benefit from each other’s scientific, technological and economic capacities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the science and technology committee of the universities of the Islamic world (COMSTECH) which has been created on the basis that Islamic countries can be effective in the development of each other’s infrastructure, especially in the universities of the Islamic world.
 
Iranian cultural figure noted that if the unions of scientists and academicians are activated, then one huge step is taken towards preserving and boosting Islamic unity.
 
Secretary General of Inter Islamic Network for Virtual Universities called the topic of modern civilization as one of the most important issues for Islamic Republic of Iran and added," the orientation of all these movements is to create a new Islamic civilization that can address all different aspects of human life under its cover."
 
He also touched upon the issue of Palestine for which the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has established a special committee aiming to prevent further Zionist attacks against Jerusalem al-Quds.
 
He expressed satisfaction that defense for Palestine has gone beyond the Islamic countries and that non-Muslim governments are also voiding solidarity with the Palestinian nation.
 
Secretary General of Inter Islamic Network for Virtual Universities expressed his views in webinar specially held on the issue of Palestine during the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference held on Tuesday.
 
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought scheduled the 35th edition of the Islamic Unity Conference for October 19-24 ending with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) also known as the Islamic Unity Week.
 
The issue of Palestine and honoring the leading proximity figure, late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri were the topics discussed in two separate webinars in this event.
