Senior Muslim scholar has called on world Muslims to unite against "Zionist criminals" in his speech addressing the webinar on 35th International Islamic Unity Conference held in the capital Tehran on 19-24 December.

Sheikh Shuaib Booley, chairperson of the Ahlul Bayt Islamic Council of South Africa relating on “Resistance and Unity of Palestinians in the Twelve-day War” delivering speech for the 35^th Islamic Unity Conference held by Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the Palestinians' 12-day war against Israeli regime as a victory for the oppressed and said," The twelve-day war of defense by the Palestinian resistance against the criminal Zionist forces brought about an amazing victory for the oppressed and dispossessed people of the holy land."
 
He hailed the victory for bringing hope to the oppressed people across the globe and related on the reasons behind the achievement.
 
South African scholar noted that the 12-day defense war by Palestinians and their great victory proved importance of organizing a united front against the criminal Zionist virus.
 
He praised the victory of Palestinian resistance despite the treachery of Arab states particularly Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan.
 
Chairperson of the Ahlul Bayt Islamic Council of South Africa highlighted the role of Iranian commander of IRGC Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in uniting the Palestinians in confrontation against the Zionist forces.
 
In conclusion he referred to the role of Iran's Islamic Revolution for world people saying, "The important message of the Islamic leadership headed by Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei is crystal clear: unite and you will defeat the Zionist criminals."
 
The 35^th edition of Islamic Unity Conference was held in the capital Tehran on October 19-24 mainly in virtual meetings of Muslim scholars, intellectuals and thinkers from across the globe. The theme for Islamic Unity Conference 2021 was "Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the World of Islam."
 
The issue of Palestine and honoring the leading proximity figure, late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri were the topics discussed in two separate webinars in this event.
