Iran's President Ebrahim Raeisi, urged Muslim scholars for serious efforts to unify Islamic nation and called solidarity as an objective highlighted by the late founder of Islamic Revolution and Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference in the Iranian capital of Tehran, President Raeisi hailed the measures taken in line with materialization of Islamic unity and also the practical steps taken by late Ayatollah Taskhiri and Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani to boost solidarity among Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said, "The Islamic awakening which has been achieved due to struggles by martyrs should not be forgotten and we should all endeavor to protect that."
 
President Ebrahim Raeisi noted," Today, we are witness to plots hatched by enemies in all regional countries including Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Yemen and we should all protect Islamic nation from these challenges."
 
Ayatollah Raeisi referred to the Islamic nation as the sole important power the hegemonic powers find as a challenge and stated," These powers try to undermine the components of power in the Islamic nation by waging dispute in the world of Islam."
 
He called the human resources, scientists and scholars the biggest source of energy
and opportunity for Muslim nation who should stand against hostile plots.
 
President Raeisi highlighted importance of focusing on common objectives among Muslims and underlined belief in religion and common values and also dynamicity as important factors for materialization of unified Islamic nation."
 
Ayatollah Raeisi denounced the media campaign which sparks disagreement in the world of Islam and also the passive governments that follow normalization of relations with criminal regimes, like the Zionist regime of Israel.
 
He enumerated desecration of religious sanctities, disintegration of Islamic countries, and exploitation of Muslim scientists among measures the domineering system takes to weaken the Islamic nation and prevent formation of a unified Islamic nation.
 
"The domineering system has been in pursuit of exploiting the nations by looting their oil and natural resources" said President Raeisi and added," At present it is in pursuit of exploiting new energies in Muslim countries, the most important of them is the human resources, particularly the scientific talents."
 
Iranian President added," An important necessity for holding such meetings is to build proper understanding from the intrigues and
deviations" and referred to those who did not have a true image of Daesh terrorists when it was established with Islamic mottos "There is no God but Allah" and "Mohammad is Prophet of Allah."
 
President Raeisi highlighted necessity of expanding scientific, media and cultural cooperation in the world of Islam and noted," Strengthening the proximity thought should be set as an axis for all."
 
Iran's President Ebrahim Raeisi delivered the speech at the opening ceremony of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference on Tuesday.
 
The theme for 35th Islamic Unity Conference is "Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the World of Islam" as participants discuss the latest situation in the world of Islam. Two meetings will particularly detail the views on the issue of Palestine and late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, the late advisor of Supreme Leader and former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
Led by Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has scheduled to hold the 35th Islamic Unity Conference on October 19-24, 2021 as more than 500 Muslim intellectuals, thinkers and religious experts will discuss their views on the latest issues in the world of Islam in 24 webinars.
