Huj. Shahriari condemns Kandahar terrorist attack

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a statement on Sunday to condemn the terrorist attack in Kandahar mosque which has left 60 worshippers dead and several more injured.


Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari expressed regret over the multiple explosion in the biggest Shia mosque and called on the international community to end the crimes against civilians and religious centers by all possible means, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported.
 
Only a week after Daesh terrorist attack on Kunduz Shia mosque which killed and wounded nearly 300 worshippers the second attack on Bibi Fatima mosque, the largest Shia mosque in Kandahar has created an ambiance of terror and shock particularly among the Shia community.
 
Iranian cleric in his statement expressed regret over Kandahar attack, the second of its type in one week, and said the incident happened "despite recommendations and warnings over the responsibility" of the current authorities to maintain the security of Afghan civilians.
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned that continuation of such attacks proves them to be organized crimes hatched by enemies in a bid to bring division and religious conflicts and to provide grounds for presence of colonial powers in the region.
 
"Seriously condemning this brutal crime, once again we demand the Afghan authorities in charge of security organizations to fulfill their duties towards the honorable Afghan people" said Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari urging the international communities to use all facilities to end such crimes against the defenseless civilians and religious centers and also to push the current authorities in Afghanistan to guarantee security of the civilians.

 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought offered sympathies with the bereaved families of the victims and expressed hope for speedy healing of those injured in this terrorist attack.
 
On threshold of the Islamic Unity Week, Iranian senior cleric stressed the solutions to end such crimes in Afghanistan, Palestine and all Islamic lands calling the Muslim world to return to the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), maintain vigilance and Islamic unity by clinging to the rope of Allah.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari issued the message following multiple bomb explosions during the Friday prayer in Bibi Fatima mosque, biggest Shia mosque in Kandahar. No group has claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
 
Three suicide bombers have reportedly detonated their explosive belts during the Friday prayer in Kandahar Shia mosque leaving 60 worshippers dead and dozens of others wounded.
