Top cleric warns of plots for war, division in Muslim world

Secretary General of Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned of hostile plots which aim to divide Muslims and spark war in the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, senior cleric met with Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Sabounchi, founder of Ahlul Bayt (AS) Hussainiya (religious center) in Kiev in Tehran on Tuesday stressing that the world of Islam is moving towards solidarity while the enemies are targeting solidarity in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," The world of Islam is moving towards a future of convergence while enemies are endeavoring to divergence and division in Muslim world and promote war, dispute and discord across the globe."
 
He added," We believe that we should concentrate on confrontation with arrogant powers rather than intensifying the disputes."
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed," We should not serve our enemies and unite same way that companions of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) ignored the disagreements and united under the command of the prophet of Islam."
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari rejected any provocation of death of a Muslim against another Muslim and added," To kill a Muslim is one of the worst sins in view of Islam" warning that to spark war and murder among Muslims is a plot by arrogant powers.
 
Founder of Kiev religious center called for promotion of Islamic proximity and more cooperation with the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
