He referred to the Americans attack on US congress in early January and also Afghan refugees falling from an American plane following Taliban takeover of Afghanistan as the two historical scenes which prove an end to the US hegemony.
He noted that not only the idea of hegemony but also the project of imposing Westernized identity have miserably failed and that pursuit of hegemony has led to nothing but blood-spilling and instability, defeat and eventually escape.
"Today the US does not exit Iraq and Afghanistan but is expelled" said the President in part of his speech addressing the 76th meeting of the UNGA.
He called the sanctions as US' new way of war against the world nations referring to the background of US restrictions against Iran since nationalization of oil industry back in 1951 when the then US and UK governments backed a military coup against the then government of Iran.
"Sanctions, especially, sanctions on medicine amid the COVID-19 pandemic, are crimes against humanity" said Ayatollah Raeisi and added," The Islamic Republic of Iran proposes that any kind of sanction-induced restriction or disruption in the supply of good health and environment as two humanitarian issues be declared forbidden."
He also condemned, on behalf of the Iranian nation and millions of refugees hosted by the Islamic Republic, the continued illegal US sanctions particularly in the area of humanitarian items and that the organized crime against humanity be recorded as a symbol and reality of the so-called American human rights.
Iranian President highlighted efforts to preserve stability and territorial integrity as a policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said," If not for the power and role of Iran alongside the governments and people of Syria and Iraq as well as the selfless efforts of Martyrs Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis, today ISIL would be the Mediterranean neighbors of Europe."
He touched upon the issues challenging regional and Muslim nations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and the Palestinian nation in the occupied territories and slammed the Zionist regime for the all-out blockade which has turned Gaza to the world biggest open prison.
President Raeisi in another part of his speech addressing the UNGA denounced the US over violation of the "internationally recognized" nuclear agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the world powers, maximum pressure policy and countering the Iranian nation in different ways.
He said," We demand the implementation of international rules. All Parties must stay true to the nuclear deal and the UN Resolution in practice."
President Raeisi stressed that the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to consider the production and stockpiling of atomic weapons as forbidden and added that the Islamic Republic considers the useful talks whose ultimate outcome is the lifting of all oppressive sanctions.
Iranian President made the comments in an address to the 76th annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly held on September 21st.
