Two rockets have reportedly hit the military base in Conoco gas field, local sources on condition of anonymity told Syria’s official news agency SANA.

There is no immediate report on casualties as a result of the rockets fired from the nearby areas.

Several American troops and allied militants from the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had been injured a similar attack targeting the US-occupied al-Omar oil field in Dayr al-Zawr in late June.

US military had deployed forces and equipment to the eastern and northeastern Syria as Pentagon claimed the deployment meant to protect the oilfields from Daesh terrorists’ attacks.

This is while Syrian government has slammed the deployment is meant to loot the resources in the Arab country.
