Manitoba Islamic Association has called on the Muslim community in this province to attend an online poll regarding their experiences of anti-Islam hate crime amid increasing reports of Islamophobia across the country.

The Islamic Association in Manitoba Province, Canada, has called on Muslims to participate an online poll regarding their experiences and views on Islamophobia as the reports on anti-Islam hate crimes are on the rise, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Tasneem Vali, vice chair of Manitoba Islamic Association hailed the measures by Canadian government in facing hate crimes and demanded more action to be taken in this line.
 
He said," Islamophobia can appear in any form and the online poll by Manitoba Islamic Association is conducted in a bid to understand the different definitions of Islamophobia by Muslims, their experiences of hate crimes and any change felt by the people in this line."
 
In his view one of the most instances of Islamophobia attacks is misbehavior with women wearing Islamic hijab, an issue which must be attended by the government.
 
The vice chair of Manitoba Islamic Association hailed the national summit on Islamophobia and urged the federal government to take serious stances against oppression and systematic racism.
