Mousa Abu Marzook, member of the political bureau of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas urged the Palestinian residents in Jerusalem al-Quds to attend the prayer at al-Buraq courtyard also known as the West Wall by the Jewish community in reaction to the constant atrocities by Israeli settlers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Hamas official, in his tweet, called al-Buraq courtyard as a key part of al-Aqsa Mosque and noted the defense of the holy mosque and first Qibla of Muslims as an honor adding that prayer in this courtyard should not be forgotten since that would be the best reaction to the constant attacks by Jewish settlers.

Israeli regime has promoted the major part of its plans for construction of Solomon's Temple by increasing its excavations in al-Buraq courtyard in the light of inaction by global community.

This is while Islamic endowment office in al-Quds has frequently expressed concern over Israeli excavations around al-Aqsa Mosque that violates the UNESCO decisions.

The endowment office has also slammed the Zionist regime for banning Muslims to hold prayer in the older part of al-Quds under the pretext of fighting COVID-19.
