Al-Azhar condemns Israeli evacuation of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah

Egyptian prestigious university, Al Azhar, has issued a statement to condemn Israeli atrocities against Sheikh Jarrah district in the occupied Jerusalem.

Al Azhar University, in its statement issued following the brutal evacuation of the Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah to condemn Israeli atrocities against Palestinians, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Al Azhar announced solidarity with the Palestinians particularly the people in Sheikh Jarrah calling on the Palestinian nation to launch legal battle against Israeli occupation of their lands by Israeli regime and their plans for settlement expansion.
 
Top religious academy also called on the world people to denounce Israeli crimes and stand by the Palestinian nation who are the true owners of the Palestinian lands and objectives.

 
The statement added that such crimes by Israeli people will only strengthen Palestinians in their path and that the Palestinian land has been and will remain Arab land.
 
The statement has been issued in the wake of evacuation of some Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah district in occupied Jerusalem al-Quds.
 
The incident which happened on the eve of the International Quds Day has once again drawn massive anger from the global community against Israeli regime.
