Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun, top Syrian Mufti attended the second International Congress on Holy Quds and called al-Quds as the holy place belonging to all monotheist people, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He hailed late Imam Khomeini for reviving holy Quds and the Supreme Leader efforts in protecting Syria and block ways for enemies to reach Iraq, Tehran and Mecca.

He referred to history of the Levant when it included Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Damascus as one unified nation and country with the same religion.

The Syrian mufti called the Levant as the hub of all sacred religions and said,” Prophet Abraham, Moses and Jesus (PBUT) introduced their holy messages in this region as the people in old Persia and Iraq sent their message of peace to the Chia Wall.”

Sheikh Hassoun slammed those who distorted the history to show the Palestinian lands belonging to a particular ethnicity and that Muslims, Jews and Christians should be evacuated from that land.

He denounced the evacuation of Palestinians from their lands, infanticide and demolition of mosques and churches under the names of Prophet Solomon and Jacob.

Top Syrian Sunni scholar expressed regret over distortion of history and said the Almighty God mentioned the nations of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad (PBUT).

He expressed hope for victory of Iran’s IRGC Quds Forces until full liberation of holy Quds.
