“Tsunami of information complicating soft warfare”, cleric

Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with top Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Yaghoubi warned of “Tsunami of information” complicating the soft warfare.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, top Iranian cleric heading a delegation of cultural and religious figures met with senior Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Yaghoubi in the holy city of Najaf referring to new borders in the modern technology and information arena, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” As the concept of border has changed in the world, the media have made it possible for the world people to be in touch and share the news from across the globe.”
 
The cleric also explained his views on the different layers of Islamic union.
 
Ayatollah Yaghoubi hailed the proposal for formation of an Islamic union and its possibilities to settle the political issues.
 
He slammed the brutality of Daesh Takfiri terrorists and said,” No religious or fiq’h principle would permit massacre of others; therefore, establishment of an Islamic union would be beneficial for Muslims.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahariari visited the senior Iraqi scholar in part of his trip to the Arab country in a bid to meet with different religious and political figures and exchange views on the latest issues in the world of Islam.
