Huj. Shahriari meets with Lebanon's Islamic Action members

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with members of Islamic Action Movement at its headquarter in the capital Beirut.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and Abbas Khameyar, Iran's cultural attaché in Lebanon met with Sheikh Zuhair Juaid, coordinator of Islamic Action Movement and members to discuss the ways for mutual cooperation between the Lebanese movement and Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The two sides discussed ways for expansion of relations between the Islamic centers in Iran and Lebanon in line with promoting solidarity in the Islamic nation and also confrontation with Takfiri (excommunication) ideology.
 
They also stressed importance of supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation and ways for reviving the rights of Palestinians as well as liberation of the occupied lands.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari hailed the stance of the movement and its support for Lebanese and Palestinian resistance as well as its endeavors for materialization of Islamic solidarity.
 
The cleric noted that the two Islamic institutes, one from Shia and the other from Sunni community, support solidarity between all Islamic denominations and endeavor for expansion of Islamic unity.
 
Secretary General of Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought visited the headquarter of Lebanon's Islamic Action Movement on his first visit to the country after his appointment as the head of the major Islamic unity center in Iran.
