"Interfaith dialogue, materialized objective of religions", cleric

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri, from the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization attended the webinar on Jesus Christ as role model of dialogue and coexistence held on the eve of Christmas stressed necessity of dialogue among civilizations and tolerance of those from other religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," All religions stress dialogue, affection and coexistence as key principles and the mission of prophets is to improve man and help him achieve perfection."
 
Iranian Shia cleric urged all clerics and followers of holy religions, particularly Christians and Muslims, to promote peace, friendship and justice among their communities.
 
Director of the center for interfaith dialogue in Iran condemned desecration of prophets and religious sanctities under the pretext of freedom of expression calling that a reason for hostility among religions.
 
Christian and Muslim figures from Iran, Syria and Lebanon attended the webinar on Jesus Christ as role model of dialogue and coexistence held by the International Ashura Foundation in collaboration with the Unified Ummah Study Center on the eve of the birth anniversary of Prophet Jesus Christ.
