International committee for the fifth martyrdom anniversary of prominent Saudi cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr has issued a message calling on international bodies to press Saudi regime to return the body of executed scholar.

On the eve of the fifth anniversary of Saudi regime crime to execute prominent Shia scholar Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, international committee has scheduled the mark the occasion demanding for return of top cleric’s the body to his family, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The committee has called on media, intellectuals, political and cultural figures, NGOs, seminaries, social networks and television and radio channels to launch campaigns and underline the thoughts by the great religious leader.
 
On the eve of the first martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s IRGC commander General Qassem Soleimani and the fifth martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Nimr, the international committee has named Friday January 1^st as the day of martyrs and commanders urging all Friday prayer leaders to allocate a part of their sermons to these martyrs.
 
The committee also called on political and cultural authorities across the globe to press Saudi regime to return the body of Ayatollah Nimr to his family.
 
The message has concluded with demand to regional and international political and legal organizations to voice opposition with life sentences and ordered executions.
 
Prominent Saudi shia cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, widely known as Sheikh Nimr, was arrested and executed by Saudi regime along with 46 others supporting his opposition against Saudi regime back in early January 2016. His execution has been widely condemned by international organizations and human rights bodies.
 
Shortly before his fifth martyrdom anniversary Saudi regime has demolished Imam Hussein Mosque in al-Awamiya, where he used to deliver sermons.
