"Enemies pursue annihilation of Islam", Sunni cleric
Molavi Es'haq Madani, deputy of the Supreme Council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended the webinar on "Religious Principles and Challenges in Face of Calamities and Disasters" held on the opening day of the 34th Islamic Unity Conference hailing the annual event as an opportunity to discuss solutions for the issues challenging Muslims.

Top Sunni cleric in his speech at the webinar on the first day of the Islamic Unity Conference held online due to the new coronavirus warned of plots which aim existence of the Muslim world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He expressed concern over the current circumstances in the world of Islam due to the war across the Muslim world and looting of the natural resources by enemies warning," Enemies are in pursuit of silencing or weakening Islam forever."
Still Molavi Nazir Salami, representative of the people in southeastern Iranian Province of Sistan and Baluchistan in the Assembly of Experts stressed that the potential capacities of Muslim world should be activated even amid the new coronavirus outbreak.
Molavi Salami stressed," The process of establishing Islamic proximity necessitates both theoretical and practical endeavors and every individual within the Muslim nation should be part of this effort."
Participants in this webinar called on Muslims to boost solidarity in face of the current calamity, new coronavirus pandemic and other issues challenging the Muslim community.
The webinar on "Religious Principles and Challenges in Face of Calamities and Disasters" was held on the first day of the 34th Islamic Unity Conference by Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
The online event was attended by the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Abouzar Torkaman, head of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations and a number of Shia and Sunni authorities from Iran.
