Expert hails Chinese Muslims’ contribution to confront COVID-19

Nabil Ma Zhongping, Secretary General of the China Islamic Association, praised the contribution and cooperation of Muslim community in the country to confront the new coronavirus calling that a virtue of the Muslims.

Chinese Muslim figure attending the 34th Islamic Unity Conference in his speech at the opening ceremony of the annual event held online due to the pandemic infection lauded the Muslim community in China where the pandemic broke out and highlighted the role of Muslim community in containing COVID-19, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Efforts of the Muslims in containing the new coronavirus in the epicenter of the pandemic should not go unnoticed.”
 
He referred to the Secretary General of the China Islamic Association mobilizing its Muslim members across the country to confront the disease and said,” The protocols announced by the Chinese government was immediately practiced by the Muslims as they closed the mosques and cancelled all religious rituals and gatherings.”
 
Nabil Ma Zhongping also referred to the measures taken by mosques to teach the preventive measures and health protocols in constant online sessions and called that as the key for successful management to contain the contagious disease.
 
Secretary General of the China Islamic Association highlighted the enthusiasm and conscience of the Muslims to help each other amid the pandemic and called that the manifest of human virtue.
 
“All countries have contributed to contain the coronavirus pandemic” he said and added,” A society with common future demands people to share their sadness and happiness.”
 
He concluded that the contributions of Chinese Muslim community noted the people on good will of the Muslim world.
 
34th Islamic Unity Conference is underway in virtual meetings held on October 29th- November 3rd as Muslim elites from across the globe exchange views on “Islamic Cooperation in Face of Calamities and Diseases.”
