Palestinian orator condemns Israeli efforts to diminish Muslim prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque

27 Sep 2020 - 9:59

Palestinian orator, Akrama Sabri, has censured Israeli forces restrictions on Palestinian prayers entering al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday warning that the move aims to diminish Muslim prayers at the holy mosque.

Senior Palestinian orator of al-Aqsa Mosque has slammed Zionist regime of Israel for misusing the coronavirus pandemic as a pretext to impose restrictions on Palestinian worshippers and eventually evacuating the holy site of Muslim prayers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Occupying Israeli forces are trying to use the coronavirus pandemic and keep control of the holy mosque by restrictions they impose on Palestinian worshippers.”

Israeli forces on Friday allowed only 1,200 worshippers to enter holy al-Aqsa Mosque while normally 10,000 people attended the weekly prayers in the holy sites.

Akrama Sabri censured the Tel Aviv regime for the restriction and warned of the repercussions of normalization of ties recently signed between the Arab countries and Israeli regime.
