Arab League condemns Kosovo, Serbia decision to open embassy in al-Quds

Arab League Secretary General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit has issued a statement to censure the decision to decision by Serbia and Kosovo to open their embassies in the al-Quds.

Secretary General of the Arab League condemned the decision to move embassies to the al-Quds city particularly in reference to resolution 478 passed in 1980 addressing states that establish diplomatic missions at Jerusalem in the occupied city to withdraw from the Holy city, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Secretariat of the Arab League stressed the stance of the organization saying," Al-Quds is one of the negotiation topic much opted by international community to resolve while Tel Aviv regime has taken aggressive stance on that."
 
He rejected the efforts to Kosovo and Serbia to ignore the international resolutions as illegal and unacceptable measure which seriously block the ways to peace and two-state solution based on 1967 border.

 
This is while former mufti of Pristina, Bahri Sejdiu, slammed the decision and announced the public opposition of the Muslim community in his country Kosovo to establish embassy in al-Quds city and normalization of ties with Israeli regime.
 
Following the Friday announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding an agreement made between Kosovo and Tel Aviv, Serbia and Kosovo confirmed a decision to establish their diplomatic mission in the Holy city.
 
Former mufti of Kosovo stressed the opposition of different parties in the country for normalization of ties with Israeli regime noting that Kosovo people cannot admit occupation since their country has once been under siege and oppression.
