Albania Qur’an foundation hails late Ayatollah Taskhiri

Albania’s Qur’an foundation has issued a message following passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, Iran’s senior Islamic unity figure and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs.

Shaykh Volent Meria, director of Naseem Qur’an foundation in Albania, in his condolence message expressed sympathy with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, bereaved family and World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought over loss of the senior cleric Ayatollah Taskhiri, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Albania Qur’an foundation hailed the late cleric as a zealous scholar and expressive voice of Islam and Shia community.
 
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri has spent over five decades in promoting Islam and solidarity among Muslims.
 
He was a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts and former secretary general of top Islamic unity body in the country, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
Ayatollah Taskhiri passed away on Tuesday due to heart disease.
