Iran’s Islamic unity center condemns sectarian provocations in Lebanon
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message denouncing the recent provocative measures in Lebanon warning of outside players in these divisive moves.

Major Islamic unity center in Iran has issued a message to condemn the recent unrest in Lebanon warning of sectarian rifts which might undermine national solidarity in the Arab country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
World Forum in its message noted the current cultural lag in some Muslim countries and highlighted the role of Islamic Republic of Iran in moving towards a new Islamic civilization.

According to the statement the key outcome of the new Islamic civilization is to prevent sectarian and ethnical divisions which by itself will create disagreements in principles and ideological subdivisions, promotion of ignorance and undermining open-mindedness.

Major Islamic unity center warned of opportunities created for enemies to infiltrate into Muslim world, hatch plots in a bid to achieve their objectives.

“Unfortunately some movements have a hue of tribal prejudices within themselves” reads part of the statement warning of intensification of religious issues adding,” An instance of them is the extremist mottos which provoke the people in order to fuel the fire of ethnical disagreements.

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed that top Shia and Sunni scholars and all Lebanese ethnical groups and the entire nation reject these disagreements.

Iranian Islamic unity center in this statement referred to another divisive effort, attacking the grave of Kalif Umar II which was slammed by prominent Shia scholar (970 -1016 AD) who had hailed the Kalif for his humanitarian contributions, justice and particular loyalty to Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought urged the Islamic nation, particularly the elites and intellectuals to seriously follow the great Islamic civilization as its final objective and any deviation from the objective should not provoke any denomination against another one.

World Forum also calls Muslims to denounce the British-style Shia and American-style Sunni as the Supreme Leader has done.

Following the recent easing of restrictions set against the new coronavirus and continuation of protests against the economic crisis and looting of the state funds some extremists in Lebanon have carried out sacrilegious moves which are feared to spark sectarian clashes.

Led by Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a statement to denounce any desecration and provocative measure which might undermine unity among Muslims.
