Iranian Sunni prayer leader:

“Desecration of Islamic sanctities is disrespect to all Muslims.”

A top Sunni cleric highlighted the importance of solidarity among Muslims saying any action that tarnishes Islamic unity is condemned and has to be punished.

Mamusta Hessam Eddin Mojtahedi, Sunni prayer leader of Sanandaj in Kurdistan Province, in his weeky Friday sermon hailed Iran as a model for realization of proximity among all Islamic denominations and the achievement should not be tarnished by some satanic moves, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” In the light of the Islamic system in Iran, we have witnessed that our country has turned into a true model of unity and solidarity among Shia and Sunni.” adding that the hostile move of some to undermine this achievement have to be prevented.

Mamusta Mojtahedi noted Iran as a true example for unity in an Islamic society which has shown solidarity and proximity among all Islamic denominations.

“Any sacrilege of Islamic sanctities is disrespect to all Muslims and he who desecrates Sunni or Shia sacred symbols has to be severely punished.” he noted.

Grand Iranian Sunni Mufti stressed that Rashidun Caliphs, household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his companions are examples of honor and determination for all Muslims and anyone who desecrates their high position will be hated by Muslims.
