Tunisian Professor from in an interview with TNA:

Breathing spirit into the body of the Islamic Ummah through the practical realization of the martyred leader's thought

A university professor from Tunisia, referring to the fact that the Islamic Unity Conference in the current conditions is a symbol of victory and a factor for cohesion, stated that the thought of the two Imams of the Revolution is a path for passing through challenges and confronting the enemy's divisive conspiracies in the region.
Breathing spirit into the body of the Islamic Ummah through the practical realization of the martyred leader
Zahabiya Fahem, a university professor from Tunisia, on the sidelines of the 40th Islamic Unity Conference, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), while explaining the Quranic and civilizational dimensions of the thought of the two Imams of the Revolution, considered the holding of this event centered on the martyred leader as a factor for creating hope in the Islamic Ummah and neutralizing the enemy's despair-mongering conspiracies.

Regarding the role of the martyred leader's thought in restructuring the concept of Islamic unity?

Islamic unity has a Quranic foundation, and Imam Khomeini (RA) and the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei (may God be pleased with them both) contributed greatly to the institutionalization of this concept. The martyred Imam presented this concept within a Quranic, faith-based, and rational framework, taking into account the requirements of the era, so that through this, the Islamic Ummah would be prepared for the establishment of a new civilization.

In fact, the two Imams of the Revolution placed Islamic unity within a framework that the Ummah should properly attend to, because this principle is not a political slogan to secure the interests of a specific group; rather, as the martyred Imam emphasized, it is a platform for the Ummah to confront challenges.

In your view, to what extent should the output of such conferences go beyond the theoretical level?

In conferences and gatherings, ideas are presented and examined, but they must also be realized in practice. What we are witnessing at this conference is, in fact, the call of the absent leader to the attendees, so that the ideas presented regarding unity among Muslims may find practical manifestation. Now the main question is: have Muslims in our societies understood the essence of the concept of Islamic unity? Have they learned from this issue and will they implement it in practice?

How do you assess the atmosphere of holding the conference in the current conditions, especially with the memory and name of the martyred leader?

Although previous conferences were held with the presence of the martyred leader, at the opening ceremony I felt as if the call of the martyred Imam of the Ummah had resounded in the invitation to unity. The choice of the conference title in the name of the martyred leader is a very worthy choice, because holding such a conference in these conditions, despite the challenges, is a sign of success and, like the thought of the two Imams of the Revolution, will breathe new spirit into the body of the Islamic Ummah.

Some among public opinion become doubtful or despairing about the heavy costs of resistance; what is your response to this type of view?

It should not be said that the losses incurred are material, especially regarding the martyrs, because this destiny is the ultimate aspiration of the mujahideen. The real loss is the emergence of despair. The enemy tries, through its media, to create a feeling of despair in the hearts of the people, especially the supporters of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so that they may ask why, despite the capabilities, so many martyrs have left us on this path. We must not feel despair or retreat. In the recent war, we witnessed the victory of the resistance front, and the presence of the resistant people in the fields indicates the definite victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As a final word, what is your advice for confronting religious seditions and divisiveness in the region?

We must be vigilant and watchful of the enemy's actions for sedition and dispersion of opinions. In the countries of West Asia, the enemy seeks to ignite the fire of religious sedition and create separation among the members of the Islamic Ummah, but Muslims must know that they are moving on a single path, and differences in nationality should not cause separation; rather, they must move in one direction with unity.

We must not allow the enemy to conquer the realm of the hearts and minds of our children with its tools. I hope these efforts meet with the pleasure of the Almighty, and God willing, the final victory and the hopes of the two Imams of the Islamic Revolution will soon be realized; certainly, these pure bloods will one day bear fruit.
