The martyred Imam began unity from humanity and gifted his life on this path
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Majahidi, the head of the Islamic Center of Imam Ali (AS) in Düsseldorf, Germany, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), expressed gratitude for the efforts of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, which has labored for many years in creating unity among Islamic countries.

He continued: "Unity Week is an opportunity to bring the hearts of Muslims closer and to emphasize Islamic commonalities, because these days remind us of the necessity of solidarity of the Islamic Ummah in the face of shared challenges."

The martyred Imam; he began unity from humanity

Majahidi, referring to the personality of the martyred Imam, said: "The dear martyred Imam Khamenei sacrificed his life for unity. His unity did not begin from Shia, nor from Sunnis themselves or the Islamic world; in truth, it began from humanity. When he addressed Palestine, the program of a child who was crying and being martyred in Palestine, for him, was no different from a child in Iran. He viewed the human being as a human being."

Unity in humanity; beyond beliefs

Majahidi emphasized: "Unity in humanity is higher than beliefs, especially when we have unity in a fundamental belief. The Quran, the Book of God, the prophets, and our practical conduct in Hajj, in acts, in movements, and in being together, are all shared. Muslims are together and with one another."

He added: "This human-centered view of the martyred Imam is a model for all Muslims to respect human dignity beyond religious and ethnic borders and to take a unified stance against oppression and injustice."

The role of the martyred Imam in uniting the ranks of Muslims

Majahidi, referring to the role of the martyred Imam in uniting Muslims, said: "Imam Khamenei showed the Islamic world how to unite the ranks of Muslims, both Sunni and Shia. During his long life, he gifted his life on the path of Muslim unity."

He continued: "By emphasizing Islamic commonalities and avoiding incitement to division, he was able to create a bridge between different denominations and lead the Islamic Ummah towards solidarity and synergy."

Martyrdom; an awakener of Muslims and non-Muslims

Majahidi concluded: "Although during his lifetime Muslims were awakening, with his blood he also shook the rest of Muslims and especially non-Muslims. He was martyred on the path of anti-oppression; he was martyred on the path of Islam and against oppression."

Referring to the global impact of the martyred Imam's martyrdom, he said: "His martyrdom carried a message beyond geographical borders and showed that the voice of anti-oppression and justice-seeking will never be silenced. This pure blood mobilized not only Muslims but all the free people of the world."
