The attack on a wedding ceremony in the south of the country is a crime against humanity

Mamosta Jamal Karimi, the Friday Prayer Leader of Baneh, today (Wednesday), while strongly condemning the crimes of the terrorist US regime in attacking a wedding ceremony in the south of the country, stated: "What is happening today before the eyes of the world's nations against defenseless civilians is a human tragedy and a heavy stain on the conscience of humanity. Targeting civilians, homes, public centers, and especially ceremonies that should be a symbol of joy, peace, and life, has no human or moral justification."

He further, emphasizing the inhuman dimensions of these attacks, noted: "An attack on a wedding ceremony is an attack on the joy and hope of a family – an attack on a man and woman who wanted to begin their shared life. When children, women, and other defenseless people become victims of violence, these events can no longer be justified merely within the framework of a military conflict."

Mamosta Karimi explicitly stated: "We strongly condemn the crimes and military actions of the US government against civilians, and we believe that the lives of innocent people, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, or land, are sacred. No power has the right to disregard the lives of defenseless people under the pretext of political, security, or military interests."

In another part of his remarks, this Sunni scholar, referring to the danger of silence in the face of civilian killings, stated: "Silence in the face of the killing of civilians, especially women and children, will lead to the normalization of violence and the weakening of human values. The international community, international institutions, and human rights advocates must act responsibly in the face of these tragedies and not allow power and politics to replace justice and humanity."

The Friday Prayer Leader of Baneh, depicting the position of the Iranian people in relation to these events, stated: "The people of Islamic Iran are peace-loving and have suffered greatly. They know the value of security, peace, and a worry-free life for families more than anything. For this reason, we raise our voices of protest against any killing and violence against innocent people, and we call for an end to attacks on civilians and respect for fundamental human rights."

In conclusion, emphasizing the historical duty of everyone, he noted: "Today, it is the duty of all of us to be the voice of the oppressed victims and not allow the blood of innocent people to be forgotten in the noise of politics and war. History will judge both those who committed crimes and those who remained silent in the face of them."
