Sheikh Abdul Wahid Khajavi, the Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Shiraz, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), referring to the unity-building role of media in the field of unity and rapprochement, stated: "Unity and rapprochement are important issues in Islamic society, and from Imam Khomeini to the martyred leader and today's leadership of the revolution, this model must be given attention by the media."
 
Sheikh Khajavi stated: "The martyred leader, both before and after the revolution, emphasized the role of the media of the Islamic world and recommended that the media have an important role in uniting and consolidating Islamic nations by seeking help from the Holy Quran and the tradition of the Messenger of God (PBUH)."
 
This Sunni scholar stated: "Those who are concerned about the media field and care about the elevation of Islam and Muslims must certainly seek to preserve unity and rapprochement."
 
In conclusion, he emphasized: "Journalists and the media of the Islamic world must be more active than before in disseminating the words and statements of the new leadership of the revolution. The media of the Islamic world must be the publishers and heralds of unity and rapprochement, because the growth and excellence of Islam depend on unity and rapprochement."
