The necessity of displaying the authority and dignity of the Islamic Ummah in the world

Hujjat al-Islam Javad Mojtahed Shabestari, a former member of the Assembly of Experts, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), stated: "Journalists, especially those in the media of the Islamic world, must not only cultivate and spread many motivational topics to create hope in society but also bring Islamic societies closer to one another."

Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed Shabestari stated: "Unfortunately, as it should be, many accurate news and information are not properly disseminated and are sometimes marginalized in cyberspace. Journalists, with the media at their disposal, should use various and transparent methods to convey the daily issues of society to the attention of the nation and Muslim nations, so that the authority and dignity of the Islamic Ummah are communicated to other international forums."

This professor of advanced levels at the seminary stated: "One of the tools that allows doubts, deviations, incorrect thoughts, and issues that can cause confusion in society is the lack of proper involvement of media professionals. In fact, the media and journalists must actively work in Islamic societies to disseminate accurate information and foster unity to counter divisive and confusion-creating media."

He stated: "Today, there are many problems in Islamic societies, one of which is cultural and social. Through proper awareness, both in the real and virtual spaces, we must awaken and inform the youth, and alert them to the harms that can affect societies, and make them aware and insightful about that dear and pure Islam that has nurtured and perfected humanity to this day."

He acknowledged: "Global arrogance has spent enormous resources to destroy Muslim unity, eliminate modesty and hijab, and undermine the factors that contribute to the growth of Islamic societies. Therefore, our media, especially journalists of the Islamic world, must actively engage in this matter to inform the ever-growing and dynamic society about future harms and the coming generations."

In conclusion, he emphasized: "We hope that journalists and active figures in both virtual and real spaces will actively, spontaneously, and innovatively disseminate issues related to religion, culture, society, and identity derived from pure Islam, the Holy Quran, and the conduct and tradition of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), so that our societies will always prioritize unity and rapprochement and remain immune from the harms of the time."
