The martyred Ayatollah Khamenei transformed resistance into a global discourse of the free

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Morteza Sindi, a senior member of Bahrain's Al-Wefaq Islamic Society, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), referring to the strategic role of the martyred Imam Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in expanding the discourse of resistance, stated: "One of his most important characteristics was that he elevated the concept of resistance from a temporary reaction to an intellectual framework – a framework that transcended religious boundaries and became a human and universal thought, one that grows every day and has reached all the free people of the world."

He added: "What we observe today in the Resistance Axis – from the solidarity among followers of different Islamic denominations, from the Sunnis of Palestine to the Shiites of Lebanon, the Zaydis of Yemen, and other currents of the Islamic world – is the result of this approach. The martyred Ayatollah Khamenei was able to bring this diversity together under a single intellectual framework: the thought of Islamic resistance and the Resistance Front."

Sindi, stating that the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, through theorizing and intellectually founding this thought, transcended religious boundaries, stated: "Over decades of his responsibility – whether during his presidency or his leadership of the Islamic Revolution – he also proved this approach in practice. His financial, military, intellectual, spiritual, political, and diplomatic support for the resistance currents gave this axis a rare cohesion and organization – a cohesion that today has resulted in the creation of a deterrent equation against the hegemonic powers, especially the United States and the Zionist regime."

He continued: "In my belief, the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei played the most prominent and central role in the formation of this current. Through his leadership and guidance, he turned resistance into an inclusive umbrella for all Islamic denominations and all resistance movements – whether against hegemonic powers or against the tyrannical regimes of the region."

The senior member of Bahrain's Al-Wefaq Islamic Society emphasized: "Promoting this thought of resistance at a time when America enjoyed extensive information and security dominance is an achievement akin to a miracle. What we observe today in the enmity toward the Islamic Republic of Iran and the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei is, in fact, revenge against this intellectual and structural framework that he established."

Islamic unity; a fundamental pillar of the thought of resistance

In another part of this interview, Sindi, referring to the connection between Islamic unity, rapprochement of denominations, and the Resistance Front, said: "In numerous speeches, the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized how the capacity of resistance could be used to realize the unity of the Islamic Ummah. He achieved this goal through supporting the Islamic resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen."

He added: "These supports made Muslims feel like a single body against the current of arrogance – just as the noble hadith states: 'When one member suffers, the rest of the body responds with sympathy.'"

This Bahraini thinker, referring to the developments after the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation, stated: "What took shape after this operation and the 'unity of fronts' plan emphasized by the martyred leader of the Ummah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (may God be pleased with him), and spread from Palestine to Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq, was the practical manifestation of that same Islamic unity to which the Holy Quran calls."

He noted: "The martyred Ayatollah Khamenei always emphasized the revival of the concept of a united Ummah, and in his meetings with scholars, he repeatedly cited the noble verse 'Indeed, this your nation is one nation,' and emphasized the necessity of keeping this concept alive and prominent."

Sindi stated: "Today, more than ever, we need to explain this view. We must move beyond the space of religious divisions that have created walls among Muslims, and prioritize the greater interests of the Islamic Ummah over limited and temporary interests."

Referring to the efforts of the West, the Zionist regime, and America to create religious rifts in the Islamic world, he said: "For years, by creating takfiri groups such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS, they have sought to fuel differences among Muslims. But the wisdom of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei and the awareness of the Resistance Axis have neutralized these conspiracies and brought great achievements for the Islamic Ummah against hegemonic projects."
