Ayatollah Khamenei won the hearts of Muslims worldwide through his defense of Palestine and Islamic unity

Mawlawi Siddiqullah Chowdhury, a prominent Sunni scholar and Head of the Bengal Ulama Association, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), referring to his familiarity with the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated: "Although I did not have a direct connection with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, I became acquainted with his personality, thoughts, and views through the media and the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Delhi."

He added: "The more our knowledge of the martyred leader increased, the more we realized that he was a sincere, trustworthy, and compassionate figure for the future of Iran, the freedom of nations, and global peace. Through the media, we always followed his speeches, and both before and after the war, he remained steadfast on his principled positions."

The Head of the Bengal Ulama Association, emphasizing that the martyred leader never betrayed the Iranian nation, stated: "Iran and the Iranian people were in his heart, and by making Iran the axis, he pursued the ideal of the Islamic world's dignity, peace, and tranquility. He was always striving to bring Muslims closer together, even though some tried to highlight Shia-Sunni differences."

He noted: "In the speeches of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei, I never saw any sign of extremism or excess. He always spoke based on the verses of the Holy Quran, and this very Quranic approach caused our heartfelt affection for him to grow day by day."

Chowdhury, referring to the position of the Palestinian issue in the martyred leader's thought, stated: "Palestine belongs to all Muslims of the world – not Shia nor Sunni. Every Muslim feels a sense of responsibility with the memory of Al-Quds. About a year ago, when I had come to Iran, I asked about the future of Al-Quds and heard that one day it will be liberated and Muslims will pray there. By placing the ideal of the liberation of Al-Quds alongside the dignity of Iran, the martyred leader won the hearts of Muslims worldwide, and today the name of Ayatollah Khamenei and the Islamic Republic of Iran is in the hearts of many Muslims."

Regarding the martyred leader's approach to confronting global arrogance, he said: "I consider his struggle against the hegemonic powers as a divine mission. The martyred leader, with precise planning and complete composure, always emphasized legitimate defense and was never the initiator of war."

This Sunni scholar added: "Based on what I understood from his positions, he always emphasized that we should not be the initiators of attack, but when the enemy arrogantly and conceitedly transgressed, the Islamic Republic of Iran responded with decisive defense in the shortest possible time and taught the aggressors a lesson."

He continued: "This very legitimate defense changed the view of world public opinion; first in Asia, then in Europe, Africa, and even America, many realized that America is a symbol of arrogance and oppression. According to the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah, anyone who is arrogant and oppressive deserves condemnation."

In conclusion, the Head of the Bengal Ulama Association emphasized: "Today, even those who were previously optimistic about the hegemonic powers have come to the conclusion that a different path can be taken by relying on dignity, dialogue, and the defense of nations' rights. This is the same policy and practical legacy that the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution left for the Islamic Ummah."
