“This funeral procession showcased a unique manifestation of the emotional and spiritual bond between the Iranian nation and their leader; a scene that would move any observer,” stated Archbishop Sergey Zagrebelny.
 
Archbishop Sergei Zagrobelny, characterized the Islamic Revolution as a movement towards the revival of divine values and authentic traditions. “Many societies today have drifted away from these values, while the Islamic Republic has striven to restore them,” he said.
 
The religious figure believes that human society achieves peace and justice when its leaders consider themselves servants of the people, and the people, in turn, support them with trust and respect. This, he noted, is a model that the Islamic Revolution has sought to realize and strengthen.
 
Archbishop Sergey Zagrobelny further described the atmosphere at the funeral as filled with love, respect, and sorrow. “The extensive presence of people at the farewell ceremony for Iran’s leader demonstrated that the relationship between the Iranian nation and their leader transcends political ties, resting upon a deep and sincere bond,” he stated.
 
He described the grief of the Iranian people as the grief of all friends of the Islamic Republic. He emphasized that the joy, success, and pride of Iran are also sources of happiness for nations that maintain sincere relations with the country.
 
The Christian leader concluded by wishing the nation and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran peace, dignity, and success, expressing hope that God would bless the benevolent intentions of the Iranian people.
