The martyred leader played a significant role in achieving the goals of pure Islam

Mamosta Mamad Kalshi Nejad, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Urmia, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), described the martyred leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, as the herald of unity in contemporary history, and stated: "At the outset, we send salutations to the pure souls of the master and leader of the martyrs and the martyrs of various periods who defended the integrity of the Islamic Ummah – especially the martyred leader of the Islamic Ummah, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei – and we honor the memory of all martyrs, particularly the recent martyrs. Truly, it can be said that this martyred Imam was the greatest herald of unity throughout the Islamic world and contemporary history."

Mamosta Kalshi Nejad stated: "He was a personality who was able to truly preserve and introduce Islam with dignity and honor throughout the world. The discourse that the Supreme Leader, the martyred leader, revived once again as one of the strong discourses and as an ideology in the Middle East – and the new Islamic civilization – despite the enemies' efforts to label it as the Arab Spring and assign various names to divert it, he led it to success."

This Sunni scholar stated: "They tried to present these movements as freedom-seeking movements outside the Islamic world, but the Supreme Leader, the martyred leader, precisely changed that and introduced it as one of the Islamic movements for Islamic resistance and for the new Islamic civilization to the global community and the Islamic community. This caused the unity-creating call of the Supreme Leader, the martyred leader, to grow stronger throughout his blessed life and even after the martyrdom of this great leader, as we witnessed greater cohesion in the body of the Islamic world."

He stated: "Today, about four months after the martyrdom of this great leader of the Islamic Ummah, people are still on the streets to put into practice those slogans and calls and all those intentions of the Supreme Leader and to defend the intentions of the martyred Supreme Leader."

He acknowledged: "On the other hand, one of the most important duties that scholars, thinkers, elites, and religious leaders bear – and as one of the responsibilities about which Almighty God will certainly question them on the Day of Judgment – is: 'What did you do for the progress and dignity of Islam and the realization of Islamic civilization and culture?' Certainly, one of the duties of elites, intellectuals, and scholars is to explain that one of the most important calls of the Supreme Leader, the martyred leader, was for the people to achieve dignity, independence, and honor with human perfection."

In conclusion, he emphasized: "One of the great goals of the martyred leader was to convey Islamic civilization, with the description found in the Quran and the traditions of the Prophet and the pure Imams, to the global community. Today, for the elite community to be able to put this matter into practice and to inform the youth of the great goals of the martyred leader – namely the new Islamic civilization and Islamic culture – they have the duty of propagation and explanation."
