Mamosta Aziz Amiri, the Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Qorveh County, spoke to the Taghrib News Agency(TNA), stating: "If we look at the issue from the perspective of the Quran and Sunnah, one of the most important factors in nations' resilience against pressures is faith in God and certainty in divine promises."
He added: "The Holy Quran says: 'O you who have believed, if you support God, He will support you and plant firmly your feet' (Quran 47:7). Also in Surah Al-Imran, He says: 'So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers' (Quran 3:139)."
The Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Qorveh stated: "The experience of Islamic history shows that victory is not dependent solely on superior equipment and resources, but the spirit of faith, patience, and unity also plays a decisive role. At the Battle of Badr, the Muslims were far weaker in numbers and equipment, but God granted them victory because of their faith and perseverance. Therefore, whenever a nation trusts in God, practices patience in the face of hardships, and maintains unity and cohesion among itself, its power of resistance multiplies."
Mamosta Amiri, citing the verse "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided" (Quran 3:103), emphasized: "The people's trust in political and religious leadership can also be an important factor in preserving unity, preventing division, and strengthening public morale in such circumstances."
In response to the question of why Iran has become an inspiration for resistance movements in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and elsewhere, he said: "From the perspective of supporters of this view, the main reason is its steadfastness against external pressures, emphasis on political independence, and support for oppressed nations. Of course, there are different views on contemporary political issues, but what is certain from an Islamic perspective is that dignity, independence, justice, unity of the Islamic Ummah, and defense of the oppressed are values emphasized by the Quran and Sunnah."
The Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Qorveh concluded by noting: "Wherever faith in God, patience in the face of hardships, national unity, and wise leadership come together, the grounds for victory and honor are provided, as God has said: 'If God should aid you, no one can overcome you' (Quran 3:160)."
