The Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Asadiyeh stated: "Our dear Imam saw the authority and dignity of the Islamic Revolution, as well as the strengthening of Islam's foundation, in the unity and rapprochement of Islamic schools of thought."
 
Mawlawi Seyyed Ahmad Abdollahi Eskandar, the Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Asadiyeh in South Khorasan, spoke to the Taghrib News Agency(TNA), stating: "Imam Khomeini from the very beginning of the Islamic Revolution's movement, always emphasized the unity and solidarity of the Islamic Ummah. If we pay attention to his statements and messages, we will see that they were very comprehensive and centered on Islam, and were not limited to a single sect."
 
Mawlawi Eskandar stated: "Imam had an anti-arrogance perspective. He consistently emphasized the fight against regional and global superpowers and the tyrants of the world, pointed to the independence of Muslims based on unity, and invited [them] to Islamic awakening."
 
This Sunni scholar clarified: "Our dear Imam saw the authority and dignity of the Islamic Revolution, as well as the strengthening of Islam's foundation, in the unity and rapprochement of Islamic schools of thought. He designated Quds Day in support of the oppressed Palestinian nation, which was an example of making unity the axis in the Islamic world."
 
In conclusion, he emphasized: "Imam Khomeini (RA) was truly an exceptional and unparalleled personality in the present era. Among his emphasized demands was the issue of unity and dignity for the Islamic Ummah."
