The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has hailed the huge turnout of Iranians on February 11 rallies that marked the anniversary of Islamic revolution.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari said Iranians, by partaking in the nationwide rallies, protected their Islamic revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He made the remarks in an interview conducted on the sideline of the Wednesday rally in Tehran marking the 47^th victory anniversary of Islamic revolution that toppled the former Pahlavi regime.

He highlighted importance of the 22 of Bahman (February 11) rallies emphasizing that the turnout of the people displays the solidarity of Iranian nation against enemies.

Referring to more than 47 years of U.S. hostility with Iran, Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari hailed Iranian people for taking to the streets to mark the Islamic revolution anniversary despite what Washington wishes.

The senior cleric emphasized that the U.S. is unable to do anything against Iranian nation who protect their Islamic revolution.
