Designation of the IRGC as a Terrorist Organization is a Stain on the History of Humanity

A regional political analyst stated that the European Union's decision to designate the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization is a disgrace in the history of humanity and those who claim to uphold human rights.
Designation of the IRGC as a Terrorist Organization is a Stain on the History of Humanity
He continued: "For instance, they established the United Nations Security Council and human rights organizations, yet whenever their interests are threatened, they take action. Why do governments not question them about how thousands of innocent people in Gaza were massacred by the Zionist regime? Yet Europe, which is unconditionally and thoughtlessly subordinate to the United States, has not condemned this."

The IRGC Seeks to Establish and Preserve Security

This regional political analyst stated that since its inception, the IRGC has aimed to create and maintain security, and according to Article 150 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is the IRGC's duty to protect the Islamic Revolution and its achievements.

He added: "Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the IRGC has stood alongside the revolution and the oppressed nations of the region. This organization is not merely a military entity; it has played a vital role during floods, the coronavirus pandemic, and vaccination efforts, and it was instrumental in the 12-day war against the Zionist regime, making the U.S. and Israel regret their aggression against our homeland."

The IRGC Played a Pivotal Role Against ISIS and Extremist Groups

Abbasiān pointed out the IRGC's role as the vanguard in the fight against terrorism: "Undoubtedly, if the IRGC forces had not been present, the terrorist group ISIS would have advanced in all Islamic countries. Therefore, the European Union, which has acknowledged the IRGC's primary role in combating ISIS and other extremist groups, is paradoxically labeling it a terrorist organization despite its recognition in international law as an accepted organizational force, which is, in fact, a tragedy for the world."

He continued: "Currently, with U.S. naval vessels stationed in the Persian Gulf, the only deterrent force that can stand against them is the IRGC. Despite the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization, American forces currently in the Persian Gulf have sent the message not to get too close but to conduct their maneuvers. Isn't this a duality in the approach to international law? On one hand, they label the IRGC as terrorists while on the other hand acknowledging that it is the official force of the country conducting maneuvers."

The International Community Has Not Responded to the EU's Actions

This regional political analyst emphasized: "If U.S. and Western interests are met, whether legitimately or illegitimately, and any group helps fulfill those interests, then being labeled a terrorist means nothing to them. However, anyone who works towards the interests of nations and cleanses excessive and extremist sects will easily find themselves on the list of terrorist organizations."

He expressed disappointment that no responses to the EU's actions were observed in the international community, including from Russia and China, demonstrating that their reactions align with their own interests.

The IRGC Will Continue to Uphold the Revolution More Determinedly Than Before

Abbasiān affirmed that this action by Europe will not diminish the morale of the IRGC, stating: "Undoubtedly, this popular institution will act with greater determination than ever to preserve the revolution, its achievements, and to protect our country's sovereignty and integrity."

He further added: "Martyr General Qassem Soleimani, as a member of the IRGC, pledged to the Supreme Leader that he would destroy ISIS in less than 100 days. The activities of this terrorist group, which was gradually seizing Islamic countries, were halted by the IRGC. Therefore, the lack of response from international organizations regarding the EU's actions is indeed a stain on the history of humanity and those who claim to uphold human rights."
